Norwegian and Nordic weddings in Lanzarote
Lanzarote has long been a favourite winter-sun destination for Scandinavian couples, and El Jardín de Teguise regularly hosts Norwegian, Swedish and Danish weddings. Our team works in English, and we can bring in a Norwegian-speaking celebrant or minister on request.
Norwegian church weddings abroad
The Church of Norway allows weddings abroad through the Norwegian Seamen’s Church (Sjømannskirken), which serves the Canary Islands. If you would like a Church of Norway ceremony, your local parish and Sjømannskirken handle the pre-marriage documentation (prøvingsattest from the Norwegian Tax Administration); we coordinate the venue, timings and reception.
Symbolic ceremonies for Nordic couples
Many couples marry legally at home in Norway, Sweden or Denmark — a quick appointment — and have a symbolic garden ceremony here, in Norwegian or English, with full freedom over vows and music.
